I've been working on a recording of a new song for the last 3 weeks. Why is it taking so long considering it's just me, a mac and a few cheap instruments?
Let me see...it could be the way it starts at 88 bpm gets up to 112 the wanders up and down tempowise. It could be the way it starts in the key of C#m going into E major, then E minor, then G minor. (that's before it gets to the real key changes). It could be the fact that it ran to 40 tracks of audio at one point or the way the mac randomly decided to move 12 audio files onto different tracks.
Or it could be that I wasted even more time putting together a crazy teaser trailer of the rough mix.
Anyway - here it is. Once the real track is up I'll take the trailer down. So download it now. (Sorry folks -it's gone!) Either as a unique piece of Mattoribilia or a window into my deranged mind.
The song is called
The Morning After The Day You Saved The World

It's not a worship song. It's a song about a lot of different people who get to be a 'small s' saviour and it's probably as close as I'll ever get to something with 'epic quality'!
