94 Free MP3s from Sovereign Grace!

Those super generous guys from Sovereign Grace are always excelling themselves. So as well as giving away the Twenty-four Free MP3s from WorshipGod09 you can still get most of the seminars from previous years clocking in at a hefty 94 mp3s - everything from playing acoustic guitar, running a choir, soundchecking, preparing to lead, prophetic balloon animals (ok I made that one up - maybe next year guys?) to the more generally theological main sessions.

Some ones I'd like to check out:

What Are You Talking About? What to Say When You’re Not Singing - Bob Kauflin
Some worship leaders talk too much, some too little. This seminar deals with how to determine when to say something that will serve those you’re leading, as well as what, how, and why to say it.

Worship in the Valley - Matt Mason
Whatever role you play in the public worship ministry of your church, there are times when you don’t “feel” like standing up in front of a congregation and leading them in worship. Matt Mason knows what that’s like, as he was a worship pastor in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. Matt shares from his own life, and more importantly from the Word of God, how we can find faith to praise God in the midst of adversity.

Lessons Learned from Three Decades of Leading - CJ Mahaney and Bob Kauflin, interviewed by Jeff Purswell

(You can also find some of my recommendations from previous years conferences here, here and.....oh, yes - here).

  1. You might find the following blogs of interest about C.J. Mahaney and the group he leads, Sovereign Grace Ministries:

    They tell another side.
    Hope this helps.

  2. Thanks for dropping by Steve.

Sadly there are stories of failure and even abuse in every group of Churches/denomination my own (Newfrontiers) included. This is because every church is full of sinful human beings.

I do have sympathy for some of the people mentioned on these blogs, but as I am not (and never have been) part of Sovereign Grace the blogs you mentioned have little relevance for me personally, and as this blog is primary about worship leading and songwriting, they have no real relevance for my readers either.

As it happens I do have a high regard for SG and the men who lead it, including CJ Mahaney, but regardless of this, all I am doing in posts like this is recommending their worship seminars and albums which I am very confident are high quality and useful to the wider body of Christ.
